What is the NDIS?
Australia's national disability support scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding and support to people living with a permanent and significant disability. The NDIS gives participants choice and control over the supports they receive, helping them to live more independently and participate in their community.
Eligibility
Who can access the NDIS?
To be eligible for the NDIS, you generally need to be under 65 years of age, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and have a permanent disability that significantly impacts your daily life. The NDIS also supports early intervention for children with developmental concerns.

- Live in an area where the NDIS is available

Planning meeting
Meet with an NDIS planner or Local Area Coordinator to discuss your goals and support needs.
Receive your plan
Your NDIS plan is approved with funding allocated across support categories relevant to your needs.
Choose your providers
You choose the service providers you want to work with — including Support Life Services.
Start your supports
Your supports begin and you work towards the goals outlined in your NDIS plan.
Plan review
Your plan is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your needs and goals.
